Software developers are depicted as nerds who drink coffee and output code, which is cool, but I guess I am not much of a traditional developer. I drink a lot of tea, enjoy improving the community, love to write documentation and have a personal vendetta against air pollution. My off-duty time is often preoccupied with running, reading books, building systems and processes to help people enter the IT industry as well as working on projects and apps that help the community in general.
There is a stereotype for large companies, and it usually points to a cold and unforgiving environment, but my experience with INSCALE and working for a large client like WS Audiology has surpassed all my expectations. It’s cool, understanding, and very friendly. That’s the attitude that wins the race.
